Gregory Lee Knotts, 48, of Parkersburg, died unexpectedly on June 11, 2008.

Gregg was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Parkersburg, the son of Lee and Nelva Gregg Knotts. He was a 1977 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and attended WVU-P. He was a former employee of GE Plastics, owner of Kanawha Paint Company and worked at PWP Plastics. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church.

Greg enjoyed NASCAR, Cincinnati Reds baseball, Dallas Cowboys football and also coached Little League baseball for a short time.

In addition to his parents, Gregg is survived by a daughter, Lindsay Knotts of Wadsworth, Ohio; his sister, Julie Knotts Shepherd and her husband, Randy, of Parkersburg; his brothers, Joey Knotts (his best friend) and wife, Candy, David Wayne Knotts and wife, Gloria, of Yukon, Okla., David Munday and wife, Autumn, of Charleston, S.C., Steve Munday and wife, Kim, of Simi Valley, Calif., and Jim Munday and wife, Penny, of Ames, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews including his nephew, Davy Knotts of Parkersburg, whom Greg considered a brother. In addition to family, Greg is survived by close friends, Pat Gruber, Eric Lane, Ben Hampton, Steve Goines, Chris and Robin VanFossen, all of Parkersburg; and a very special friend, Debbie McKenna of Williamstown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Scott Hannus officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
